EMT punched, another hurt chasing down assailant

WILMINGTON, Del. — Two EMTs were injured during an assault Monday night.

DelawareOnline.com reported that St. Francis Hospital EMTs were in front of a fire station when three pedestrians approached them. One of pedestrians told an EMT that he was having chest pains.

They began to ask questions about the pain when an EMT was punched in the face. The other EMT chased the assailants, catching up with one and getting into a struggle.

The EMT suffered a hand injury during the fight. The suspects fled on foot and remained at large Monday. The EMT that was punched suffered a facial injury.
