PRESCOTT, Ariz. — A Prescott man is in custody for being combative with authorities and allegedly spitting in the face of a paramedic.
Prescott police say 23-year-old David Hunter has been booked into the Yavapai County Jail on suspicion of four counts each of aggravated assault, endangerment and disorderly conduct.
It was not immediately known Friday if Hunter has a lawyer.
Police were called Tuesday night about a man acting strangely on a Prescott sidewalk, chasing juveniles and yelling profanities.
They say Hunter kicked and screamed while in the back of a patrol car. Medical personnel were called out to evaluate him.
While in the ambulance, Hunter reportedly spit in the face of a Prescott Fire Department paramedic.
Police say it’s unclear if drugs or alcohol were involved or contributed to Hunter’s actions.
