SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A South Dakota woman was arrested after driving her car into a creek and then assaulting the paramedic who tried to assist her.
The Argus Leader reported Ashley Mae Timmer drove her car into Skunk Creek in Sioux Falls around 4:03 p.m. When police arrived, Timmer was outside the car on the bank of the creek.
She appeared to have driven the car off a nearby road, through several hundred feet of grass and down the rocky creek bank before crashing into the water. Timmer was transported to the hospital in an ambulance, where she assaulted a paramedic. The paramedic was not injured, according to the report.
Timmer is being charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, simple assault, careless driving, possession of less than two ounces of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
