FORT PAYNE, Ala. — An ambulance service is collecting clothing for domestic violence victims in memory of a fallen colleague.
DeKalb Ambulance Service EMT Ashley Scott, 25, was killed by her husband during a domestic dispute June 2016.
Casey Wilborn organized the drive and decided it would be beneficial to donate to a domestic violence shelter.
“She [Scott] touched us so greatly in the very short time we had her at DAS,” Wilborn told WHNT. “So it’s just something to let everyone know we still think about her every day.”
