MT. VERNON, Ky. — A woman who was tired of waiting for a ride at the hospital stole an ambulance to go home, according to police.
WKYT reported that Pamela Cash was waiting for relatives to pick her up from the hospital when she grew impatient.
“She said she got tired of waiting on her sister at the hospital and took the ambulance,” Police Chief Brian Carter said.
Cash then allegedly drove the ambulance three miles away from the hospital before she pulled over and began looking through other vehicles for a set of keys so she could steal one.
Police said Cash was charged with criminal mischief and theft.
