Paramedic reunites with 2-year-old he saved

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia Fire Department paramedic reunited with a boy whose life he saved after the boy went into cardiac arrest.

The 2-year-old boy, King, has Down syndrome. Paramedic Dale Schroeder wanted to do something nice for the boy by visiting him at the hospital FOX 29 reported.

When he found out the boy had been discharged, Schroeder drove to his house and brought him a gift.

Schoeder’s wife, Dana, shared the visit on Facebook, writing “Good job babe, you prevented that family from experiencing the absolute worst thing that can happen to a person ever in this life #myhero.”
