BRIGHTON TWP., Pa. — A paramedic for a local ambulance company was inappropriately touched by a patient who said “it’s not rape” before he assaulted her, police said.
According to a police report, Donovan C. Cobb, 22, assaulted the medic on April 24 while he was being taken by ambulance to Heritage Valley Beaver. Officials did not release the reason for his trip to the hospital, but police said he was “secured to a stretcher.”
Police said the alleged victim was in the back of the ambulance with Cobb. As they neared the hospital, Cobb told the medic, “It’s not rape,” and grabbed her in an inappropriate way. He then got mad, grabbed the medic’s glasses and broke them, police said.
Cobb, of 350 Angela Drive, Aliquippa, was charged by Brighton Township police with indecent assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
