Dating app names paramedic among ‘hottest jobs’

The list was compiled based on occupations of users’ dating profiles that received the highest ratio of “right swipes”

LOS ANGELES — Tinder, a popular dating app, released a list of the most eye-catching professions people look for in a match.

The app works like this: if you “swipe right” on a photo of someone’s dating profile, it means you would consider meeting or dating them. Swiping left means you’re not interested.

Tinder added occupation and education details to profiles last November. The list was compiled based on profiles that received the highest ratio of right swipes from November 2015 through January 2016.

The most swiped-right male jobs in the U.S. ranked firefighters in third place and paramedics in ninth. Police officers and those serving in the military also made the top 15.
