CINCINNATI — A Metro bus driver could spend up to three months in jail for a crash last September that killed a Cincinnati paramedic.
Bridgette Robinson entered a plea agreement Monday that resulted in a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter conviction, WLWT said.
Paramedic Sherry Pettit, 40, who was unloading a patient at the time, was struck and killed when the bus rolled down the driveway at Woodward High School.
Robinson reportedly left the seat of the bus prior to the accident to deal with a student at the rear of the vehicle.
Another medic, April Travis, 37, who was in the back of the ambulance when it was struck by the bus, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Two students were also treated for minor injuries.
Robinson, who is on unpaid leave from her job with Cincinnati Metro, faces up to 90 days in jail and may lose her driver’s license for up to two years as a result of her conviction.
