Fog could be to blame for Pa. ambulance crash

Driver not hurt; patient taken to hospital

COWANSHANNOCK, Pa. — Police in Cowanshannock are investigating a crash involving an ambulance that ended up in a creek.

Armstrong County emergency dispatchers said the ambulance crashed along Route 85 at about 5 a.m. near West Shamokin High School.

The Citizens Ambulance Services vehicle was transporting a patient at the time of the crash, authorities said. Another ambulance took the patient to Kittanning Hospital. The driver of the ambulance was unhurt.
