MOUNT PLEASANT, Wis. — Trustees from the Village of Sturtevant called on Mount Pleasant’s Village Board on Monday to approve a new ambulance as the two boards met together for this first time since the villages combined fire and rescue services in 2008.

“The frustrating part from our board is the ambulance issue,” Sturtevant Village Board President Steve Jansen said. “I think we need to put that issue to bed and continue focusing on the needs and the necessary equipment needed moving forward.”

Voicing the consensus of his board, Jansen expressed frustration that a new ambulance had yet to be purchased, despite being in Sturtevant’s budget for the past three years.
