SYRACUSE, N.Y. — An ambulance in New York was struck by BB gun shots Sunday night, cracking the rig’s back window.
Central New York AMR crewmembers told police they heard two bangs and realized their back window had been broken, according to Syracuse.com.
Police met the crew at a hospital and found the damage to be “consistent with a BB gun being shot at the ambulance,” said Syracuse Police Sgt. Matthew Malinowski.
No one was injured in the incident. Police are asking anyone with information about who may have shot the ambulance to call their tip line.
An AMR spokesperson said the rig will be repaired and returned to service.
