WILMINGTON, Del. — Four people escaped with minor injuries this morning when a St. Francis Hospital ambulance collided with a van in Wilmington, police said.
The crash occurred about 9:15 a.m. at North Adams Street and Lancaster Avenue, Cpl. Jamaine Crawford said.
The ambulance, with two occupants on board neither of which was a patient, was responding to a medical call with its lights and siren activated while traveling north on North Adams Street when an eastbound van collided with it at the intersection of Lancaster Avenue. The two men in the van, ages 50 and 26, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.
