CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Two EMS providers were injured early Saturday when their ambulance crashed into a utility pole and flipped, Chapelboro.com reported.
The Orange County Emergency Services ambulance crew had a patient on board and was en route to UNC Hospitals. The EMS providers’ injuries were not life-threatening.
The patient was transported and evaluated.

The damage to the utility pole knocked out power to several area homes, but it was restored later in the day.
The crash is being investigated.
