HOLLYWOOD, Md. — A state trooper and two others were hospitalized after the trooper’s vehicle collided with an ambulance Tuesday afternoon.
CBS Baltimore reported that Maryland State Trooper Allison Oyler was traveling with sirens on when a Hollywood Volunteer Rescue Squad pulled out in front of her path, causing her to collide with the ambulance.
Gregory Casoni and George Newton, the passenger in the ambulance, were both transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. Oyler was airflifted for treatment.
Police said charges are pending against Casoni, who they determined was at fault for the crash.
The incident is currently under investigation.
