LAS VEGAS — An EMT and a patient died Monday after an ambulance crashed when the driver lost control on a slick road, according to officials.
KNTV reported that the AMR ambulance was transporting a patient to an after-care facility when the driver lost control on a slick ramp due to recent rain, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The ambulance rolled over, resulting in the death of an EMT and the patient. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to CBS News.
Police said the EMT was in his 50s and will be identified by the coroner once the family has been notified.
