2 Calif. paramedics injured in hit-and-run ambulance crash

The ambulance was transporting a young boy at the time of the collision that also left a car in flames

Four people were taken to a hospital early Sunday morning after an ambulance was overturned on the 91 Freeway in a hit-and-run collision, the Orange County Fire Authority said.

The crash, near Euclid Street in Anaheim around 4:30 a.m., also left a car in flames.

Those transported included a young boy who was in the ambulance, as well as two OCFA paramedics and a CARE attendant. They had minor injuries, according to the OCFA.

Additional details were not immediately available.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
