EDINA, Minn. — A man called 911 after experiencing what he considered a crisis – not having cheddar cheese for his lasagna recipe.
Huffington Post reported that the man asked the dispatcher what he should use as a substitute since he didn’t have cheddar cheese.
“Sir, this is not an appropriate use of 911,” the dispatcher said in the call.
The man said not having cheese in his lasagna was considered a life-threatening emergency.
“When I die, then it’s on you,” he said.
The Edina Police Department tweeted about the call, saying it was “not a good use of 911.”
