STUART, Fla. — A man was arrested after calling 911 twice to complain about the size of his seafood.
TC Palm reported that Nelson Agosto ordered clams at Crabby’s Seafood Shack despite the waiter’s warning that they were small, according to police.
Upon receiving the order, a restaurant employee said Agosto complained and received a second order for free. He was apparently still not satisfied, because he called 911 to report the incident.
“He was complaining that the clams he was eating were so small. He didn’t want to pay for them,” police spokesman Sgt. Brian Bossio said.
“I ordered something, and it was extremely so small,” Agosto can be heard telling the dispatcher.
The dispatcher provided Agosto with a non-emergency police phone number, but Agosto called 911 again, saying he forgot the number.
Agosto was arrested and charged with misuse of 911.
“It was an arrest, but the officer did not take the guy to jail,” Bossio said.
