AUSTIN, Texas — A paramedic was injured early Thursday morning when an ambulance was struck by a suspected drunk driver in a strange chain of events.
Police said the incidents began when two cruisers pulled over a suspected drunk driver, KXAN reported.
While they were pulled over, police said another suspected drunk driver crashed into the cruisers.
An Austin-Travis County EMS crew responded to the crash, and their ambulance was struck by a third suspected drunk driver, according to police.
Two people, including a paramedic, were transported to the hospital. Officials said they are both expected to be OK.
All three suspected drunk drivers were arrested.
