EAST MEADOW, N.Y. — Police in Nassau County, New York, said Woodbury resident Erica Schweitzer, 49, was under the influence when she hit an ambulance with her BMW on Wednesday.
Schweitzer was attempting to make a left-hand turn when he crashed into the ambulance, according to a Daily Voice report.
A police officer already at the scene saw the crash happen.
Schweitzer was arrested and is charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and was cited for multiple traffic infractions.
No one was injured in the crash.
