NEW YORK — Dwayne Johnson revealed his mother is doing alright after a violent car crash in California, adding it is a “miracle” she escaped mostly unscathed.

“Thank you god. She’s okay,” the 50-year-old actor said. “Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night. She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated.”

Johnson shared the news with his 361 million Instagram followers on Thursday alongside a photo of his mother’s mangled Cadillac. While the car was left with a beat up hood and bumper, the Rock said his 74-year-old mother appears to be mostly okay.

“This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver and attempted suicide,” he said. “She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.”

While the “Black Adam” actor did not provide further details about the terrifying incident, he noted it occurred in Los Angeles and thanked the city’s police and firefighters “for being so caring & focused.” He said first responders remained on the phone with him throughout the night and provided him with constant updates.

“I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ‘em hard, cos you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get,” Johnson concluded.

His father and WWE Hall of Famer, Rocky Johnson, died of a massive heart attack in 2020.
