CUBA, N.Y. — Two medical bags were stolen from a New York ambulance service on Monday, officials say.
The advanced life support bags were taken from a Cuban Ambulance Service facility Monday night, when an unknown individual or individuals damaged the door of the facility and then broke into several locked storage containers, the Cuba Police Department said in a press release.
The bags contained items worth a total of about $2,500, including equipment, narcotics and the keys for two ambulances.
“This is a volunteer ambulance company and these items are vital to providing adequate care for those in times of emergency in our community,” police wrote.
