MIAMI — A Miami firefighter is recovering after suffering a medical emergency during training.
The firefighter was participating in SWAT medic training on the Rickenbacker Causeway on Mar. 6 when the medical emergency occurred, WPLG reported.
Paramedics on the scene quickly treated and transported the firefighter to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Officials say the firefighter is in serious but stable condition.
