This week’s Photo of the Week comes from the St. Charles County (Mo.) Ambulance District (SCCAD) showing one of the district’s two new EMS stations. The new stations in St. Peters and Wentzville are positioned in two of the district’s busiest response zones and are a size upgrades from the old stations they replace, allowing SCCAD to increase paramedic staffing in the future.

The stations are the first infrastructure projects in the district’s 10-year capital improvement plan, and SSCAD plans to build two more new stations in highly-populated areas by fall 2021. The district is also currently constructing a 147,000-square-foot consolidated campus facility which will bring together its training, administration, logistics & supply center, vehicle maintenance and non-emergency transport division. Drone video of the construction site can be seen below.
