Photo of the Week: Mo. ambulance district opens 2 new stations

St. Charles County Ambulance District's Wentzville and St. Peters EMS stations will serve two of the district's busiest response zones

Calling all EMS photographers! EMS1 wants to see pictures of you in action or training. Submit a photo — it could be selected as our Photo of the Week! Be sure to include your name, department information and some background on the photo.

This week's Photo of the Week comes from the St. Charles County (Mo.) Ambulance District (SCCAD) showing one of the district's two new EMS stations. The new stations in St. Peters and Wentzville are positioned in two of the district's busiest response zones and are a size upgrades from the old stations they replace, allowing SCCAD to increase paramedic staffing in the future.

The stations are the first infrastructure projects in the district's 10-year capital improvement plan, and SSCAD plans to build two more new stations in highly-populated areas by fall 2021. The district is also currently constructing a 147,000-square-foot consolidated campus facility which will bring together its training, administration, logistics & supply center, vehicle maintenance and non-emergency transport division. Drone video of the construction site can be seen below.
