LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Officials with Planet Fitness donated workout equipment to local first responders.
According to Fox 43, the gym chain donated workout equipment and machines to Susquehanna Valley EMS. Planet Fitness officials wanted to help an organization that needed the equipment since they are required to update or change equipment every five years.
“It’s a joy,” Director of Marketing for Planet Fitness Allison Whitaker said. “What we’re about is the judgement-free zone, inclusiveness, trying to provide an affordable, easy accessible way to workout. So now, we get to help a group that can pay this forward to the people who are helping us, the first responders.”
