WAREHAM, Mass. — An off-duty officer happened to be driving by a cove in Onset when he saw a man struggling in the water. The deputy jumped into action, got in the water and pulled the man to shore.
Mary Graf saw the rescue. An off-duty sheriff’s deputy happened to be driving by Muddy Cove in Onset, stopped and jumped in the water to save a man.
“I was shaking, I could feel myself shaking,” said witness Mary Graf. It happened around 10 Saturday morning. Firefighters and EMTs showed up and helped pull them to shore.
