NEW YORK — A former FDNY EMS lieutenant is suing a doctor who previously claimed his signature was forged on a disability form.
NY Post reported that Susan James was terminated from the department after being accused of committing disability insurance fraud in 2016.
The charges against James were dropped In June 2017 after Dr. Ajendra Sohal recanted his statement that she forged his signature, and a lawsuit filed by James said that she received legitimate treatment from Sohal for a knee injury.
“I don’t know if he [Sohal] lied or if it was a mistake,” James said. “I guess more information will come out.”
James is suing Sohal, as well as Parkway Medical and Rehabilitation, the facility he practiced in.
