EMT killed in ambulance crash laid to rest
Marina DeSteno Challeen’s funeral included an honor guard ceremony and military rifle salute with hundreds of responders in attendance

MAHTOMEDI, Minn. — A fallen EMT was laid to rest Wednesday after being killed in an ambulance crash.
FOX9 reported that Marina DeSteno Challeen’s funeral was held at a church with an honor guard ceremony and military rifle salute, including a rendition of “Taps.”
Hundreds of responders were in attendance, including HealthEast employees who wore “The Flash” T-shirts under their uniform in honor of DeSteno Challeen’s favorite superhero.
The Minnesota State Patrol is still investigating the crash, and the driver of the ambulance is recovering from her injuries.
