It will be difficult not to notice this on the exhibit hall. A massive display will feature “anything and everything you would have on the scene in a mass casualty incident,” said EMS Today Sr. Marketing Manager Danette Ward.
This includes everything from an accident scenario scene, ambulance buses, command vehicle SUVs, training simulations, triage and treatment products, command boards and more. The interactive exhibit provides a comprehensive look at mass casualty planning and execution, and will be especially helpful for those who have never experienced such an incident.
“This puts you in the moment, so you can really see,” Ward said.
This friendly competition has about 18 teams signed up to see how they respond to a fun and challenging incident. The test enables participants to share their expertise, experience, techniques and technology, and those watching will be able to learn a lot. Last year featured an assassination attempt. We’re excited to see what this year brings.
Baltimore’s The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center cares for Maryland’s most severely injured victims, and has opened its doors to guests of EMS Today for the first time.
