TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. — A medical helicopter made an unscheduled landing at US 231 and SR 28 in Romney Monday afternoon.
The Bell 407 helicopter, which is operated by PHI, was transporting a patient at the time it was forced to land due to a minor mechanical problem. In addition to the patient, a pilot, nurse and paramedic were also on board. There were no injuries.
The patient was transported by ground ambulance to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lafayette.
