EagleMed helicopter crashes in Okla.; 1 crew member killed

2 other crew members transported to the hospital; Crash in eastern Oklahoma late Thursday night

EUFAULA, Okla. — A medical helicopter crashed in eastern Oklahoma Thursday night with three employees on board.

The McIntosh County (Okla.) Emergency Management team confirmed this morning that one person was found dead at the crash site, two others were transported to the hospital, reported FOX 23.

FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the helicopter crashed around 11:25 p.m. Thursday near Eufaula, west of Lake Eufaula.

The Eurocopter AS350, owned by EagleMed LLC, was flying from Tulsa to McAlester when it crashed with only the three-member crew on board.

FAA investigators were on their way to the scene and the National Transportation Safety Board will be leading the investigation of the incident.
