LAKEVILLE, MN – ImageTrend is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Orange County, CA to provide a comprehensive Web-based EMS information management system dubbed by the county as the Orange County Medical Emergency Data System, or OC-MEDS.
The Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA), in collaboration with local hospitals, fire services, and ambulance companies, began the process of defining the OC-MEDS in 2006 and initiated a competitive process in 2009 to select a vendor to best meet the needs of the Orange County Emergency Medical Services (OCEMS) system.

The OC-MEDS will be comprised of three main modules: a license and certification manager that features online certification processing and tracking for medical personnel and designated facilities; an EMS module featuring an electronic pre-hospital patient care report (ePCR); and a Patient Registry by which Trauma, Stroke and STEMI registries will be delivered and managed.
This Web-based records management system is designed to improve record keeping and efficiency in the county EMS program by providing a central location for all records. Using the information gathered in the OC-MEDS the county can improve patient care, automate and effectively process licenses and certifications, and meet all governmental reporting requirements with streamlined data exchange.
