eBroselow selected as finalist for the Patient Safety Movement Foundation’s Patient Safety Innovation Awards

Company co-founder Dr. James Broselow to serve as a panelist for the foundation’s 2017 summit

BLACKSBURG, Va. - eBroselow announced today that it is one of the 10 finalists in the Patient Safety Movement’s Foundation’s second annual Patient Safety Innovation Awards. The award recognizes novel products that are designed to help reach the Pateint Safety Movement Foundation’s goal of zero preventable patient deaths by the year 2020. Dr. James Broselow will also be a panelist at the foundation’s fifth annual World Patient Safety, Science & Technology Summit in Dana Point, California, Feb. 3-4, 2017.

“I have dedicated my life to this mission and am honored to speak on the panel,” said Dr. Broselow, inventor of the Broselow Pediatric Emergency Tape™ and Broselow ColorCode Carts™. “We have shown that error-free medication administration is possible, and I look forward to collaborating to accomplish this goal.”

In 2012, Dr. Broselow was honored for his work with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices’ lifetime achievement award, which recognizes individuals who have had a major impact on safe medication practices. The eBroselow team furthers Dr. Broselow’s mission by developing online and mobile medication safety technology that prevents significant acute medication administration errors at every point of care, helping medical personnel be sure.

SafeDose Scan™, which was selected as a finalist for the Patient Safety Innovation Awards from more than 100 international applications, transforms the National Drug Code barcode on acute medications into instant critical knowledge for accurately dosing, preparing and administering medication for pediatric and adult patients. Recipients of the award will be announced in February at the fifth annual World Patient Safety, Science & Technology Summit.
