ProTransport-1 partners with Florida’s Century Ambulance Service
Cotati, Calif. (September 2015)– Century Ambulance Service has reached an agreement to partner with ProTransport-1, California’s largest privately owned ambulance service. The partnership will provide further ambulance industry expertise as well as capital to help Century fuel its growth, with New Heritage Capital serving as the private equity group facilitating the transaction.
While Century is already an established leader in the North Florida ambulance market, serving healthcare customers large and small, its eyes have been set on offering its unique style of care and customer service to more patients in the region. By aligning itself with a fellow inter-facility transport specialist, Century will reap the rewards of collaboration with ProTransport-1 while both companies bolster their overall leadership and customer service capabilities.
Century and ProTransport-1 focus on providing ambulance services to patients transferred between hospitals. Headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, ProTransport-1 began operation in 2000 and has quickly become a leading innovator within the ambulance industry.
“Our combination enables Century to leverage resources on a national scale and deliver superlative transport solutions to our hospital customers,” noted John Glover, CEO of Century. “I look forward to augmenting our service suite and deepening customer relationships with the added perspective of our new partners.”
ProTransport-1, with operations throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and the Central Valley, was recently announced as one of Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing private companies in America for the fifth consecutive year. It recently united with Southern California’s PRN Ambulance, which provides services to customers in Greater Los Angeles. Heritage, a Boston-based private equity group, partnered with and invested in ProTransport-1 in 2012. It has made a name for itself by partnering with entrepreneurs, many of them in the healthcare field, to take their businesses to the next level.
ProTransport-1 is an established trendsetter in the interfacility medical transportation market it helped create in the San Francisco Bay Area more than a decade ago. The company’s ardent patient advocacy and unique approach to technology integration have made it a sought after industry advisor nationwide, while it has also featured in Inc. Magazine’s list of the fastest-growing private companies in America, the Inc. 500|5000, five years running. For more information, visit www.protransport-1.com.
