POWERSTIK™ - turns your ordinary flashlight into a “SUPERLIGHT”
WINDSOR, Conn. – Lighting Pro Technology manufactures a battery conversion stick that utilizes 8 AA batteries where 2 D-cells would be used. Made for flashlights, the POWERSTIK is convenient to use and is more economical than using 2-D cells. For the professional user, savings of over 80% can be realized in battery savings alone. Installation is simple. Just remove the 2 D-cell batteries and existing bulb in the flashlight and install the POWERSTIK along with one of the Xenon bulbs supplied by Lighting Pro Technology. The user will realize a constant level of brighter light for the entire life of the batteries – up to 12 hours on one set of batteries with 50% more light output.
The POWERSTIK incorporates a microprocessor controlled voltage regulator that provides a constant level of light for the effective life of the AA batteries. More light, a constant level of light, 80% savings in battery costs, and the convenience of using AA batteries. When the batteries begin to run out of power, the flashlight will start blinking for about 15 minutes, warning the user to change the batteries. Bulbs also last longer with the POWERSTIK. The microprocessor provides a “soft-start” for the bulb, preventing a sudden surge of power that could result in a blowing the bulb.
