Braun Ambulances to Display Four Units at EMS World Expo 2018

The ambulance manufacturer will showcase what it means to be Built for Life with two new ambulances showcased next to a five-year-old unit and a remounted unit

VAN WERT, Ohio — Braun Ambulances will be attending EMS World Expo October 29-November 2, 2018. The ambulance manufacturer will display four ambulances, including two Nashville ambulances, a Jacksonville unit, and a remounted New Orleans unit. The ambulances on display will include a new Nashville Freightliner M2 Super Chief alongside a five-year-old Nashville Freightliner M2, showcasing how their ambulances are Built for Life. There will also be a Jacksonville Express Plus Ambulance on a 2019 Chevy C3500 chassis, and a remounted New Orleans unit.

EMS World Expo is hosted in partnership with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and provides a place for EMS professionals from all over the world to gather and learn together. This year’s event will take place at Music City Center in Nashville Tennessee from October 29 – November 2. Pre-conference workshops will take place October 29-30, including topics like patient safety, supervisory approaches, active shooter instances, and pediatric procedures. The conference will include tours of the Trauma Center, Nashville Fire Department ride-alongs, clinical challenges, and various workshops covering topics like pediatric care, patient satisfaction, and other hot topics in EMS today.

The exhibition portion of the show will take place October 31 – November 2 in Music City Center. Braun Ambulances will be on display in booth 301. The exhibit hall will be open on Wednesday, October 31 from 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Thursday, November 1 from 11:30 AM – 3:30 PM, and Friday, November 2 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

Braun Ambulances will have four ambulances on display at EMS World Expo, including a Jacksonville Express Plus Ambulance featuring Buell Airhorns, Whelen® M Series Lighting, Zico QR-MV Oxygen Holder, and a KNOX® MedVault® to reduce exposure to medication theft. In addition to the Jacksonville unit, Braun Ambulances will have two Nashville ambulances on display – one brand new, Freightliner M2 Super Chief, and one five-year-old Freightliner M2. Braun Ambulances are Built for Life, and these two units will show the comparison between a new unit that hasn’t been used in service to a unit that has served one of the busiest departments for years. The five-year-old Nashville ambulance features a Whelen® Freedom Light Bar, Hadley Airhorns, and a Voyager monitoring system for the patient compartment. The new Freightliner M2 Super Chief features a Whelen® Freedom IV Light Bar, a ROM Roll-Up Door on the cab for storage, seating from EVS Ltd., and a Stryker Power-LOAD® with cot.

In addition to these units, Braun Ambulances will have a remounted New Orleans unit on display. This unit was involved in a serious crash in 2016, but the box was able to be repaired and remounted. The unit was updated with new seating and other features, but the remount used the original box. When Braun Ambulances says Built for Life, they mean it.

“At Braun, we know the products that we make are Built for Life,” says Chad Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing. “The great thing about showcasing a new unit next to a five-year-old unit is that we can show the public that, too.” These ambulances, as well as the Jacksonville unit, will be on display in booth 301 of the exhibit hall.
