AUSTIN-TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — Austin-Travis County EMS medics are at the scene of a downtown construction site where they say a man was crushed by an elevator.
The man was pinned around 10 a.m. by an elevator at the 300 block of Congress Avenue, where the Colorado Tower is being built, but has since been freed, said EMS Cmdr. Mike Benavides.
His injuries are severe, and probably life-threatening, Benavides said.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the man is a construction worker, but Benavides said it appears that he is.
