FLORENCE, Ky. — Florence has narrowed to 20 the field of applicants for 14 jobs in the paramedic service the city plans to debut April 3.
The city’s current one-year contract with Transcare, a Covington-based paramedic company, expires three days later.
The city got 165 applications, mostly from men and women from the region. Florence Fire Chief Marc Muench said he feels the city has found some quality applicants to fill the posts.
