A suspended New Jersey EMT charged last year with recording his fellow rescue squad members in station bathrooms pleaded guilty Friday to multiple charges stemming from the case, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office announced.

Douglas Gimson, 32, of Hampton, pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree invasion of privacy in Superior Court of Hunterdon County, the office announced.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 1, 2021.

Police and the prosecutor’s office confirmed in December 2020 that they’d arrested Gimson in March 2020 on charges he used hidden cameras to film at least 15 people at the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance & Rescue Squad from November 2016 and May 2017, and the Flemington-Raritan Rescue Squad between November 2016 and March 2020.

Gimson was working as a licensed EMT for the squads at the time the incidents took place. The state Department of Health later suspended his EMT license.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, prosecutors will recommend Gimson be sentenced to 180 days in jail and complete a psychosexual evaluation. He will also be required to forfeit his EMT license in the state of New Jersey.
