MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. — The next time members of the Macomb County Special Weapons and Tactics team respond to a dangerous situation, they’ll have trained — and armed — paramedics with them.
Medstar paramedics Andy Cox and husband-and-wife David and Kyrsten Hunter were made deputies Wednesday.
“Nothing could be more serious in nature than when you have to call out a SWAT team,” Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said. “This is something that’s long overdue.” ...
