DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — An ambulance was totaled while transporting a patient in Daytona Beach. The EVAC ambulance was about a block away from the hospital when it was hit.
Paramedics were taking a man to Halifax Medical Center with a non-life-threatening medical condition.
According to EVAC, the ambulance was going through an intersection against a red-light with its emergency siren and lights on. A BellSouth van with the green light did not yield and smashed into the ambulance.
