CLAY COUNTY, Ill. — An ambulance swerving and narrowly missing oncoming cars was caught on cellphone video Tuesday.
KMOV reported that a Clay County ambulance was seen going over the center line on a two-lane road as cars approached from the other direction.
“He was in the middle of the road going up the hill and you couldn’t see the other cars coming,” driver Clarissa Tegenkamp said.
Tegenkamp said she passed the ambulance 20 minutes later and saw an EMS provider on the phone.
Clay County EMS officials said they are investigating the incident.
