The two parties “resolved the matter” after the ambulance service alleged the cameraman did not have permission to film on a ride along

MANNING, N.D. — The Killdeer Area Ambulance reached a settlement with a filmmaker who it alleges recorded a live ambulance response without permission.

Cameraman Todd Melby was shooting a documentary on the oil service industry in North Dakota, and claimed he had permission to film. The ambulance service said he did not, and was trying to prevent Melby from using the footage, saying it violated the patient’s privacy rights, the Jamestown Sun reports.

The ambulance service dropped its proposed injunction after the ambulance service’s lawyer sent a letter to Southwest District Judge Dann Greenwood, saying the tow partied “have resolved the matter to their mutual satisfaction.”

Neither side would elaborate on the details of the agreement.
