Second man charged with Ind. ambulance shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A second man has been charged for the drive-by shooting of an Ind. ambulance.

Dontay Martin, 23, faces four counts of attempted murder, two counts of criminal recklessness, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm, and criminal gang activity, according to the Indiana News Center.

Martin is said to have been one of four people in a car that trailed an ambulance and a car driven by the patient’s family. Martin and the three others allegedly shot at the ambulance and car and drove off.

Traneilous Jackson, 24, has also been charged with the shooting.

After the incident, State Rep. Win Moses plans to meet with first responders to decide what legislature can do to further protect emergency personnel.
