MADISON, Wis. — Two Sun Prairie medics, a patient and a driver were injured in a crash near Madison’s Olin Park early Saturday morning.

First responders were dispatched to John Nolen Drive at East Olin Avenue at 5:24 a.m. on reports of a car striking an ambulance, according to Dane County dispatchers.

Two medics had been transporting a patient in a Sun Prairie ambulance when the vehicle was struck by another driver turning from the northbound lanes of John Nolen Drive onto Olin Avenue, causing the ambulance to overturn. Madison police believe the driver who hit the ambulance was impaired.

The driver and ambulance patient were taken to nearby hospitals, where police said the patient is in stable condition.
