HOUSTON — An ambulance traveling northbound on Burke Road Tuesday night lost control after it was hit by a car at the Yellowstone Street intersection.

Pasadena police at the scene said a white BMW vehicle ran a stop sign at Yellowstone and collided with an Acadian EMS Ambulance, causing it to flip on the driver’s side just north of the intersection.

Police report that the ambulance was not transporting a patient at the time of the accident.

The car sustained damage to its front grill area and caused the hood to crumple.

It’s uncertain if anyone in the ambulance was injured but a female ambulance crewmember was seen holding an icebag to the side of her face.

According to its website, Acadian Ambulance was founded in 1971 in Lafayette, La. It lists a satellite location in Pasadena on Pansy Street.
