KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A pedestrian died after running into the path of an ambulance on a highway Friday night.
Associated Press reported that the ambulance was returning from transporting a patient when the pedestrian ran directly in front of its path, according to police.
Witnesses said the pedestrian was then hit by two more vehicles and was pronounced dead on the scene.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
