EMS provider suffers ‘significant’ head injury in ambulance crash
Officials said the driver of the ambulance indicated that he hit a patch of ice before crashing into a guardrail

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — An EMS provider was left with a “significant” head injury after an ambulance crash, according to officials.
WKBN reported that the ambulance was driving on the highway when it crashed into a guardrail.
The driver of the ambulance indicated that the crash occurred because he hit a patch of ice, according to a responding Highway Patrol trooper.
The crash is currently under investigation.
