DETROIT — Two paramedics were injured in an ambulance crash Sunday night.
Detroit News reported that an SUV hit the ambulance while it was transporting a woman with chest pain to the hospital, according to Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell.
Fornell said the SUV “wound up quite a distance” after the crash. Both the vehicle and the ambulance were totaled.
Police said the woman driving the SUV was speeding; she was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The paramedics reported back and neck pain, but have been released from the hospital.
